Error trying to install Garage

Featured Replies

Hi, I just purchased and installed Garage but I got this error:

Sorry, you do not have permission for that!

1S111/1 Incorrect table definition; there can be only one auto column and it must be defined as a key

I also can't seem to delete it from my apps menu.

What should I do to get this installed and then I need to run the Collections migration tool as well.

Also this error:

1S111/1 Unknown column 'name' in 'ibf_garage_categories'

Did you install the Garage Migration application prior to the Garage application?

Likely failed to create a table due to either you already have a table named as such or it attempted a double install as there is only one primary key and it is mapped as autoincrement.

If you go to ACP -> System Logs, is there any further information?

Otherwise, you'll need to run this in PHPMyAdmin or similar against your database:

SHOW TABLES LIKE 'ibf_garage_%';

Yeah, you already have tables named as such. If you're using the old devfuse application, you'll need to make sure all the data is in the collections_ prefixed tables then delete these old ones. Then reattempt install of my application.

No...I installed the garage app. I haven't tried to install the migration app yet

Yes...I think the garage tables may have been from an earlier install.

So delete garage tables and then reinstall your app...Garage first then migration app?

What is the quickest way to do a database backup? Sorry, I don't do this stuff everyday, LOL

I got the backup exported!

Does your app convert collection tables only?

Ok...I deleted the garage tables and re-installed you app...now I got this error:

1S111/1 Table 'bigmackt_ipb.ibf_garage_vehicles' doesn't exist

OK! I uninstalled the first attempt and reinstalled with success!

Now how to do the migration?

I uploaded the migration app and started it from the acp...

Garage Migration

Migration in progress. Nothing to see here.

The migration is done via background tasks so that it does not take down your server. It will take some time depending on the size of your previous collections app but can check your queue in ACP -> System -> Dashboard -> Background Processes.

OK sweet! I don't see a menu link to the Garage on the front side? Do I need to add it or will it appear when the migration is complete?

You'll need to add it via the Menu Manager for it to show up. You'll also need to give permissions to your member groups to access the garage category.

Ok thanks! Everything looks good so far. I have 3 background processes for the garage but they haven't moved since I got it installed. Is that normal?

Depends on how your background tasks are processed. If they are not processed via cron, it could be normal due to lack of traffic. However, you can click that "manually run them now" link at the bottom of that widget and it will run them in realtime
